Randonneur rides in the Mid-Atlantic
Teams of 3-5 Bikes (a tandem counts as 1 bike, but two get to share the fun!) will ride 120K to Heavy Seas in Halethorpe, MD to enjoy a great social gathering with food, beverages and tall tales. Here is a link to the RUSA page with the long version of the rules: https://rusa.org/pages/teamrando – See Dart Populaire! The important thing to know is that it is doable, it is fun, it’s a team event, and ALL THE RIDERS of every team finish at the same location at approximately the same time and have a party!
For the party, you and your plus one do not need to ride to join the fun!

Bill Beck has offered to organize the dart again, which involves approving routes ahead of time.
Rough deadlines:
October 2: Applications from captains due to the organizer (Bill Beck) including the 2025 Dart Captain form and the 2025 Dart Route application.
October 16: Registration closes for the Dart and the Party. Dart captains are responsible for making sure that their team members are all registered. We also need a hard count of Party participants to provide the caterer.
If you need help creating a route or want advice on how to set up a team, please reach out to Emily, Mimo, Bill, or the Google Group and we’ll get you all set up. This event is intended to be FUN, not WORK.
